What is it all about?

The message that charities make a positive difference is just not getting through to donors. In 2018, just 37% of people trust charities to make a positive difference to the cause they are working for.

This training seminar will give you new perspectives and practical tools to improve your supporter communications, helping you build supporter trust, motivation and, ultimately, ROI.  It will take you beyond the charitable sector into our wider culture of past, present and future, examining how stories of impact, transformation and change are told by progressive social movements and commercial brands. We will look back at the historical ‘golden age’ of NGO’s, analysing how the dominant charity brands of today built their foundations and what this means for a new era of impact communication.

Attendees will discover and learn:

  • The key aspects of supporter and public attitudes towards charitable impact: what do they need to hear?
  • The crucial ingredients of successfully communicating your organisation as an effective agent of change
  • How to tell compelling emotional impact stories for your cause
  • Impact communication ‘best-practice’ examples, from the charity sector and beyond
  • Ideas to replace the ubiquitous newsletter…

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day.  Attendees are asked to provide their own lunch.
